‘Will Listen to Offers’ – Manchester United Prepared to Let Go of £80 Million Player Who Has A Lot to Prove – Opinion

Manchester United- Antony Faces Extended Leave of Absence

James Ducker, the reputable Northern football correspondent for the Telegraph, has revealed that the Red Devils are willing to ‘listen to offers’ for Jadon Sancho.

Manchester United Still Prepared to Listen to Offers for Jadon Sancho

Manchester United Willing to Listen to Offers for Jadon Sancho

With Manchester United yet to secure a new striker and Anthony Martial still recovering from injury, manager Erik ten Hag has been experimenting with Sancho in an intriguing false nine role, perhaps suggesting he may still be in his plans. However, it appears now that United are still in a position to let the Englishman go.

During their pre-season clash against Arsenal in New York, Ten Hag deployed the winger as a false nine, a new position but one that now seems to be a favourable area for him to cover.

The England international, primarily known as a wide forward, showcased his adaptability in the role, impressing with his speed and clinical finishing as put on show with an impressive goal against the Gunners.

Jadon Sancho’s Future Still Uncertain Despite Impressive Pre-Season Display

Though the Red Devils are open to keeping Sancho, it is clear there still remains a possibility that the 23-year-old will depart should an appropriate offer come in. The winger has a lot to prove after some lacklustre campaigns, and faces the prospect of a pivotal season ahead should he stay and try and fight for his place in the team.

Sancho’s preference last season for operating on the left wing, a position that was already occupied by Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho, made a breakthrough even more tricky upon his return from a three-month hiatus.

However, Ten Hag seems to have a potential resolution with this more central position for him seemingly working out. This may allow him a solidified starting position and plenty of game time to work with should he choose to stay.

While United’s willingness to entertain offers indicates that the winger’s future is not entirely secure, the pre-season experimentation with Sancho as a central player highlights the club’s determination to maximise his capabilities.

With a potential new striker on the horizon and Martial’s return from injury looming, Sancho faces a season where he must prove his worth and cement his place in the squad.
