Tottenham Hotspur Identify Conor Gallagher as Midfield Target
Spurs Eyeing Gallagher and Another Premier League Star as Hojbjerg Replacement
Since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou as their new manager, Spurs have already made a number of new signings in the summer window. They have already roped in a quality midfielder James Maddison from Leicester City but could now be forced to sign another one.

Mokbel claims that Hojbjerg remains a priority target for Atletico Madrid and that they are continuing negotiations with the Lilywhites over a move. It’s added that Postecoglou would actually have no problem in letting the experienced Danish international leave, but will only issue a sale for the right price.
Hojbjerg’s desire to join the La Liga giants has forced Spurs to identify possible replacements and Gallagher has emerged as an option for them. It’s stated that the North London side’s manager is an admirer of the Englishman’s energetic style and feels that he can fit in well into his plans at the club. Apart from the Chelsea star, Spurs have also noted down Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz as a midfield option, but it’s unsure if Unai Emery would be willing to sell him.

Gallagher could be a solid fit for Tottenham, with his energetic style and ball-winning skills making him a valuable option to have. The Englishman was hailed as “extraordinary and outstanding” by ex-Blues boss Thomas Tuchel last year thanks to his prolific 2021/22 loan spell at Crystal Palace. He could add more depth to the Lilywhites’ midfield options and enjoy his peak years under Postecoglou.
