Alongside Rashford extending his stay at Old Trafford, the Red Devils have some exciting incomings potentially in store. Last Word on Football has put together a prediction of what their starting lineup will be next season, including some truly transformative new signings.

Details of Rashford’s New Deal

The 25-year-old was on fire for Erik ten Hag’s side in the Dutchman’s debut season as manager, scoring 30 goals as well as providing 11 assists across all competitions, marking his career-best numbers for the club since he made his debut in 2015.

Ornstein states that Rashford has agreed to sign a new five-year contract that will run until 2028, with his current deal set to expire next year. It’s stated that any uncertainty over his future has been banished after he agreed to the deal, with negotiations over it in the final stages between the club and his representative Dwaine Maynard.

It’s added that a number of teams from England and Europe were interested in signing the England international and offered him more lucrative proposals to join them. However, Rashford decided to turn down those offers to stay at Old Trafford, where he dreams of winning major trophies with the Red Devils.

What Has Rashford Achieved at United So Far?

A graduate of Manchester United’s youth academy, the Englishman joined the club as an eight-year-old in 2005. He spent a decade in their youth system before getting his debut under Louis van Gaal in the 2015/16 season. Rashford has been a regular for the Red Devils ever since and recently became one of the most important players in the team.

He has also become a favourite for Ten Hag, who hailed him as “unstoppable” after the 25-year-old excelled in their 3-1 win over Everton in the FA Cup last season. The England international has made 359 appearances for his side, scoring 123 goals and providing 68 assists. He can play anywhere in the front three, having operated on either wing and as a centre-forward in his career. Rashford has won the FA Cup, Carabao Cup and UEFA Europa League titles with the Red Devils, but is aspiring to win bigger things going forward.
