Although Tottenham may not be ready to say goodbye, the Harry Kane transfer saga could soon come to a close. With only a year left on the 29-year-old’s contract, top clubs are looking to take advantage.
According to The Athletic, Bayern Munich have submitted a £60.2 million offer for the forward, with the Bavarians “optimistic about completing a deal”.

Why Would He Leave?
As Kane has progressed through his career, his loyalty has been the frequent subject of applause. A member of Tottenham’s youth academy since 2004, the star striker has been contracted to the North London club from the start.
Since making his competitive debut for the Liliwhites in 2012, The Englishman, often referred to as a ‘generational‘ striker, has become the club’s top goalscorer, England’s all-time top goalscorer, and the second-highest goalscorer in Premier League history.
Despite this, a barren trophy cabinet still looms over his immense individual accomplishments. The striker has never won any competitive competitions, yet has finished as a runner-up multiple times in club and international tournaments.
Tottenham’s recent 8th-place finish, as well as having a squad that is not up to par with top teams, seemingly complicates things. If he stays put, trophies may not be in his sights anytime soon.
A Perfect Fit
When in search of trophies, there are few places better to go than Bayern Munich. The German club has won the Bundesliga for the past 11 years and have a squad strong enough to compete in the Champions League.

For Bayern, the transfer is just as fitting. Ever since Robert Lewandowski’s departure, the club have been in need of a world-class striker to spearhead their attack. Kane’s 30 Premier League goals in the 2022/23 season speak for themselves, and his play style of dropping deep would be advantageous for the world-class attackers around him.
With a better supporting cast, the England international would have a real chance at finally lifting a trophy.
