United in Talks With Min-Jae’s Agents Over Possible Move
Even though it has been reported that the Red Devils’ biggest priority in the summer window is to sign a top-class striker, it appears that they are also working towards strengthening other parts of the squad too. They’ve already reportedly agreed personal terms with Mason Mount over a move and are pushing to get that deal done.

Now, Romano adds that United’s representatives remain in contact with Min-Jae’s agents over a possible move as the defender has been on their transfer wishlist since October itself. It is also stated that the Manchester Reds are also aware of his release clause which will become active in July, that could allow them or any other interested party to sign him for a rumoured fee of around £51.6 million. Moreover, it’s also added that the Red Devils are aware of their Premier League rivals Newcastle United also being interested in the South Korean centre-back.

How Can Min-Jae Improve United?
Erik ten Hag’s side showed major signs of improvement defensively last season and collected the most clean sheets for any team in the 2022/23 Premier League, which allowed David de Gea to win the Golden Glove award. However, the Manchester Reds still showed signs of weariness – which is probably why they are looking to further strengthen their backline.

It has recently been reported that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Harry Maguire, a player whom the Red Devils are reportedly ready to offload. Min-Jae, who has been called ‘extraordinary’ by United legend Park-Ji Sung, played a pivotal role in helping Napoli win the Serie A title last season. He’s a physical, proactive figure at the backline who knows when to make the clutch challenges and is quite well adept for the Premier League too. That is why he should be a nice fit at Old Trafford and add more steel to their backline, as long as United can get the deal over the line.
