Erik ten Hags men have also been linked with Napoli star Kim Min jae, but the report from L’Equipe states that Pavard is the number one defensive target for the club this summer. The French international is set to enter the final year of his Bayern Munich contract, which he earns £116k-per-week from. The 27-year-old defender has reportedly decided his future lies away from Allianz Arena after turning down the club’s offer of renewal.

He would bring valuable versatility to Old Trafford, with his ability to be equally comfortable at centre-back or from the right side of the backline. With the injury problems experienced by United, and the possible departure of Harry Maguire, signing a player of Pavards quality and experience would be a welcome boost for Ten Hag.
