According to Alasdair Gold, Tottenham remain confident they will keep Harry Kane, with the England international less likely to leave this summer, and will seemingly give the club one more year at least, with the striker’s contract due to expire in the summer of 2024. Manchester United remain interested, with Erik ten Hag also praising the striker.

Journalist Claims Kane Likely to Stay at Least One More Year
Manchester United reportedly remain interested in Tottenham’s record goalscorer, with Ten Hag reportedly obsessed about signing the striker. The United manager was full of praise for the striker recently. “You have to defend him as a team, and he is a clever player, so don’t allow him to come in the situations where he can have a big impact on the game.” Despite praise from Ten Hag, it seems Tottenham are confident they can keep their influential captain for one more season at least. The Spurs board have maintained they will not sell their prized asset at any cost this summer.

Kane’s contract is due to expire in the summer of 2024, but according to Gold, the cost and risks to Daniel Levy of trying to replace Kane far outweigh what his sale would bring in. He is one the best strikers in world football, and there is no guarantee they would replace their record goalscorer effectively. He will soon be entering the last 12 months of his contract, and despite all the risks attached to that, it appears Levy will try one last time to convince their talisman that his long-term future is at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Future for Kane
Kane has once again enjoyed a phenomenal season on a personal level, scoring 32 goals in 49 games in all competitions. Tottenham’s record goalscorer, previously described as “exceptional” by club legend Jurgen Klinsmann, has made it clear in the past that he wants to win team trophies.
