Amad Diallo Dreams of Breaking Into United’s First-Team Squad
The 20-year-old winger was loaned to Sunderland at the start of the season and it has proven to be the perfect move for his development and helped him adapt to English football. Diallo, who reportedly earns weekly wages of around £28k-per-week at Sunderland, has played a major role in helping the Black Cats make the Championship playoffs and is now pushing to help them get promoted to the Premier League.

However, Romano adds that he only dreams of getting regular chances at United next season and being able to win over Erik ten Hag’s confidence. Diallo loves the Manchester club, even after not getting regular opportunities with them since joining in 2020. The winger also hopes to get more regular chances next season and play with the Red Devils in the Premier League.
Can Amad Fit In at United?
Diallo was named Sunderland Fan’s Young Player of the Year for his impressive work with them, proving just how popular he has become with their faithful during his loan spell. The 20-year-old scored 13 goals and provided four assists in the regular Championship campaign, including a goal in the win over Preston North End – which solidified a place in the playoffs for the Black Cats.

He could also face issues with earning regular playing time at Old Trafford. For one, the right-wing position is occupied by expensive summer signing Antony, and even Bruno Fernandes has played that role in recent months. However, it has also been reported that the Red Devils could decide to send winger Facundo Pellistri on loan in the summer. This departure could open up a spot in the squad for Diallo. The Ivorian winger hailed as “incredible” for his performances this season – will need to finish his campaign strongly to convince Ten Hag & co to make his dream of being an Old Trafford regular come true.
