How Liverpool Have Lined-Up Recently
Jurgen Klopp’s side have regained their form ever since an inspirational 2-2 draw against Arsenal at Anfield earlier this month. The German manager appears to have found his perfect combination of players, with the back-five of Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson setting up a formidable defensive system.

Jordan Henderson and Fabinho are starting to act as leaders in midfield, while Curtis Jones adds that extra creative spark and more legs in midfield. Mo Salah is undroppable, while emerging star Cody Gakpo is performing well alongside the rejuvenated Diogo Jota – helping the Reds pick up vital wins in recent weeks.
Liverpool Recent Form and Tactics
Liverpool are currently on a three-game unbeaten run in the Premier League, having won three out of their last five games in all competitions – as they attempt to at least keep up in the Premier League top-4 race.
For Klopp, there is no change in the system despite his side’s topsy-turvy season. The Reds are still sticking to their high-press playing style, being flexible with their movement and trying to win possession in vital areas. When going forward, they attempt to build their attacks using the wide areas – with their wingbacks joining in with the attack, allowing the wingers to move centrally to cause chaos. Liverpool are also a major threat in counter-attacks, moving forward in numbers as well as being lethal with their set-piece chances.
Liverpool Key Players
Liverpool will be looking to attack Tottenham in numbers knowing their fragility after changing managers recently. Salah loves playing against them and is hungry for a goal. While his off-the-ball movement and tendency to burst into key areas are unquestioned, the winger needs to improve his final product and be more ruthless to get back to scoring ways.

Gakpo is excelling as a deeper striker, moving into pockets of spaces and often coming deep to create chances for teammates. He’ll aim to continue doing that while testing the goalkeeper with his lethal shooting. Jota is a machine who loves to torment opponents with his endless running, while he also looks to be decisive in the final third to create chances.
For Liverpool, their biggest creative source remain their full-backs. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson are both blessed with excellent crossing ability, and they’ll aim to use that to set up big chances for their forwards in this one. They have to be defensively alert against Spurs’ counter-attacking ability and should be boosted by the return of the commanding Konate – once labelled as “incredible” by teammate Van Dijk.
Liverpool Injuries to Consider
Naby Keita is still out with an injury for the Reds, while Roberto Firmino will also be missing. Liverpool’s breakout midfield star Stefan Bajcetic is out until the end of the season.
