Toney is dominant in the air, winning flick-ons and is a great weapon to target with attacking crosses and set pieces. He has great composure from the penalty spot and is a brilliant target man, using his physical strength and intelligence to hold the ball up and bring his teammates into play. He is also adept at dropping deep and receiving the ball to help his team transition quickly from defending to attacking.

It remains to be seen how the controversy surrounding the Brentford star turns out, but as long as he is on the pitch, he remains a big threat to any defence and one of the top 5 strikers in the Premier League.
4. Aleksandar Mitrovic
Aleksandar Mitrovic has experienced an impressive season for newly promoted Fulham. The Serbian hitman has scored 12 goals in 25 games, in all competitions so far this season. Mitrovic is often criticised for his temperament as seen with his recent red card against Manchester United.
His performances on the pitch this season have been good. He holds the ball up extremely well, and at 6ft2in, he’s an imposing figure who revels in being the focal point in attack.

Despite improving year after year in his build-up play, the Serbian international thrives on scoring goals, and he continues to do it at all levels. Marco Silva appears to have got the best out of Mitrovic, making him ready to show Premier League defenders exactly what he’s about.
3. Marcus Rashford
Marcus Rashford is enjoying a brilliant league campaign having scored 14 goals in 26 games so far this season. He burst onto the Premier League scene during the 2015/16 season where he scored 5 league goals in 11 games. Since then it’s been an up-and-down ride for the England international. This season has seen Rashford play more often in wide attacking areas, which has suited his pace and directness, and he has terrorised defences throughout the league and in Europe.

When asked about his brilliant goalscoring form, the English striker said: “I feel comfortable in that position and I want to put myself in those positions and I want to score goals. I’ve spoke to him [Erik ten Hag] about putting me in the box for corners as well because usually I’m on the edge of the box but, you know, I want to be in the box and I want to be where the goals are scored.” These comments from Rashford show his confidence is at an all-time high, and he seems to be revelling as the main attacking threat under Manchester United manager Ten Hag.

Harry Kane has this season become the all-time top goalscorer for Tottenham Hotspur while becoming only the third player in Premier League history to score 200 goals. Kane bypassed the legendary Jimmy Greaves when he scored the decisive goal in the club’s 1-0 win over Manchester City on February 5, 2023.

Kane has 271 goals in 425 appearances in all competitions for the white side of north London. He is brilliant with his back-to-goal and linking up with forward-running midfielders. His movement is phenomenal and often see him ghost in between opposition players and meet through balls or crosses from his teammates.
It remains to be seen whether Harry Kane will pick up any major honours playing for Tottenham, but his goal-scoring record makes him one of the top strikers to ever play in the Premier League.

Since joining Manchester City, the Norwegian sensation has continued to make a mockery of most opposition he has faced. He currently has 42 goals in 37 games for Manchester City in all competitions. His 28 goals in the Premier League has left him comfortably clear in the goalscoring charts, ahead of 2nd place Kane.
He has the gift all strikers crave, being in the right place at the right time. He is deadly in front of goal and will punish the opposition more often than not. Haaland is brilliant at dropping deep to receive the ball, and laying it off to a teammate before showcasing his superb movement to get into the box, proving why he is a top-class striker.
He is adept at finding the space between defenders, where he can utilise his impressive speed to get on the end of attacking crosses and through balls from his teammates.
