Chelsea Predicted Lineup vs Borussia Dortmund in Champions League Action
How Chelsea Have Lined Up Recently
The back five has settled somewhat recently with Kepa Arrizabalaga deputising in goals, Marc Cucurella, Benoit Badiashile, Thiago Silva, and Reece James are the preferred four in front of him.

Enzo Fernandez has immediately slipped into a spot in a defensive midfield pairing, but he has yet to find a consistent partner. The attacking trio has been influenced by signings although Mykhailo Mudryk, Joao Felix, and Noni Madueke appear to be the first-choice pairing behind Kai Havertz who is a constant at the striker position.
Chelsea Recent Form and Tactics
After a lengthy stint operating with the 3-4-3 the Blues have switched to a 4-2-3-1 but results have stayed the same for the most part. The club has just one win from their last eight games, but on a brighter note, they haven’t lost in their last four.
Chelsea Absences to Consider
New first-choice defender Badiashile isn’t registered for the Champions League squad, the same goes for Madueke and David Datro Fofana, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang was notably unregistered to make way for some of the newer signings.
On the injury front, Raheem Sterling hasn’t even travelled with the squad while N’Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic also remained behind in London. There is no clear indication of whether Wesley Fofana, Denis Zakaria or Mateo Kovacic will feature or not.
