Chelsea kicked off this weekend’s Premier League action with a 1-1 draw against West Ham at the London stadium. The Blues have now gone four unbeaten, but have drawn their last three in a row. Here are the Chelsea player ratings for the game.
Chelsea Player Ratings vs West Ham
Kepa Arrizabalaga – 6
Little to do throughout. Emerson’s goal was awkward for him to deal with.
Reece James – 6
Failed to track Emerson’s run for the West Ham equaliser. A solid performance otherwise, putting in dangerous crosses and winning his duels.
Thiago Silva – 8(MOTM)
Made a crucial block from Said Benrahma in the first half. As always, a commanding defensive presence and won key headers in the final stages. A captain’s display.

Benoit Badiashile – 7
Composed on the ball and wasn’t at fault for the goal. Booked.
Marc Cucurella – 4
Struggled to defend Tomas Soucek on the left-hand side, and was poor in possession. Didn’t make any overlapping runs and couldn’t link up with Mykhailo Mudryk.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek – 6
Made some driving runs from midfield, but otherwise had a largely anonymous game.
Enzo Fernandez – 7
Brilliant assist for Felix’s goal and orchestrated Chelsea’s midfield well once again. Has settled into the Premier League admirably.

Noni Madueke – 6
Showed great flashes when cutting inside from the wing. Taken off after 65 minutes.
Joao Felix – 8
Brilliant first-time finish for the goal, and starred in a free attacking role. Best player on the pitch in the first half but wasn’t as involved in the second.
Mykhailo Mudryk – 7
Dangerous when he got the ball, great pass for a disallowed goal.
Kai Havertz – 6
Showed tenacity when in the challenge, but didn’t have much involvement in the game. Made the occasional good run and did convert a disallowed goal in the first half.
Ben Chilwell(Substitute) – 7
Much better defensively than Cucurella, and made some good runs going forward. Dynamic and solid defensively.
Hakim Ziyech(Substitute) – 6
Didn’t impact the game in the half-hour he was on the pitch.
Mason Mount(Substitute) – 6
Made a good run and cross when he came on, which should have been turned in by Havertz.
Conor Gallagher(Substitute) – 6
Had a shot blocked unlawfully by Soucek’s hand in the final stages. The referee failed to spot it and so did VAR.
