The ruling that states you can’t have two players on loan from the same club had Plymouth Argyle fans sceptical surrounding the links with Tyreik Wright. Finn Azaz remains the only man on loan from Aston Villa at Home Park though, following the announcement of a permanent deal for Wright.

All About the New Signing
Tyreik Wright has been recalled from his League Two loan as the shoe is on the other foot for Argyle. Speculation grew as soon as Villa brought Wright back to Birmingham from Bradford City.
Wright’s time with Bradford was arguably his best at a domestic level. He previously failed to excel with the likes of Walsall and Salford City. At Valley Parade though, under the stewardship of Mark Hughes, he came into his own for the mid-table club.
Beyond his club football work, Tyreik Wright has performed well on the international stage with the Republic of Ireland U21s. It wasn’t that long ago that he missed a Bradford game due to a match for his country, in which he scored, assisted and was named Man of the Match.
At 21, Wright is still a player who has a lot to learn and there will be a lot of development to come. That is the trend of this transfer window for Steven Schumacher at Home Park – signing young players who he can work with and mould.

Is Tyreik Wright Replacing Morgan Whittaker?
Despite all the positive news surrounding Plymouth Argyle, it is the departure of Morgan Whittaker that makes most of the headlines. He thrived in the green and white for the first half of the season, and this led to Swansea City recalling him.
There is now a massive hole in the side with the loss of Whittaker, and Tyreik Wright could fill it. Alongside this new arrival in contention for the free spot are Danny Mayor and Finn Azaz.
In the latest outing, a 0-0 draw away at Bolton Wanderers, Mayor played the role behind the striker along with the new arrival from Blackpool, Callum Wright. The latter’s namesake Tyreik will be competing for those spots too and it is another step in the right direction for promotion hopefuls Plymouth Argyle.
