The Besiktas sporting director Ceyhun Kazanci has weighed in on the rumours linking Weghorst to United. “If Man Utd want Weghorst, they’ve to discuss first with Burnley who will then contact us.
“If we accept, loan will be terminated. Otherwise, it will continue until June. He cannot leave like this. There will have to be compensation for us.” This basically confirms that Besiktas will not just let the Dutch international leave for free and will hope to get rewarded financially for him to move to Old Trafford.
