Arsenal have already triggered their option to extend Bukayo Saka’s current contract until 2024 to avoid the possibility of losing him for free this summer, claims Fabrizio Romano. Mikel Arteta’s side is also holding contract talks with two more players whom they want to stay with them for the long term.

Arsenal Looking To Give Saka and Two More Players Long-Term Contacts
The Gunners are more than happy with the young players in their squad right now and want to make them core members of their future project by giving them multi-year contracts and ensuring that they aren’t able to leave anytime soon.
Romano adds that Arsenal are still prioritising giving a new deal to Bukayo Saka, which will probably be a long-term bumper deal that will keep him tied to the club for a long time. They’ll probably have to give him a pay raise for that, with the 21-year-old winger’s stock rising all the time after his heroics for them this season and for England at the World Cup.

The Gunners are also looking to give long-term deals with defender William Saliba and winger Gabriel Martinelli. The duo have also played a pivotal role in their heroics at the Premier League this season and solidified themselves as key members of the squad.
Arsenal Leading the Premier League
Arteta’s side have ousted all the odds to go into the New Year at the top of the Premier League table, as they are sitting seven points above defending champions Manchester City. They have won 14 of their first 17 games and only lost once, leaving all their opposition teams in the dust.
