Argentina Predicted Lineup vs Australia

How Argentina Have Lined-up Recently

Argentina have lined up in a fairly loose 4-4-2 structure, with a 4-3-3 replacing it in the most recent match. Emiliano Martinez starts in goal behind Nicolas Otamendi and Cristian Romero. Nahuel Molina starts at right-back with Marcos Acuna out on the left.

Enzo Fernandez starts in a somewhat defensive midfield role, with Alexis Mac Allister and Rodrigo De Paul flanking him. A front line consists of Julian Alvarez in a central role, Angel Di Maria on the right and Lionel Messi floating across the line.

Argentina Recent Form and Tactics

After a poor start to the competition with a loss to Saudi Arabia, Argentina have been improving. Lionel Messi dragged the side to a win against Mexico, with the result against Poland showing a significant increase in quality.

In a tactical sense, this was because the previously free-flowing style Argentina were using was backed with a more solid midfield. Adding Enzo Fernandez in the middle of the pitch meant that there was a solid defensive presence that Poland were absolutely unable to break through.

Argentina Injuries to Consider

Argentina don’t have any injury issues affecting the lineup, so you can expect to see a full-strength Albiceleste against the Socceroos.
