Who is Cody Drameh?
Drameh is a 20-year-old English right-back who can also be utilised as a left-back if needed. Initially progressing through the ranks at Fulham’s academy, the defender signed for Leeds United in the summer of 2020 on a four-year deal.
Since then, Drameh has undergone a successful loan spell at Championship side Cardiff City, which saw the right-back make a total of 22 appearances, registering three assists in that time.

However, he has struggled to make an impact at parent club Leeds, making just seven senior appearances since his arrival, and was reported to be seeking another loan move ahead of the current campaign. Those reports were somewhat confirmed by Leeds manager Jesse Marsch who, during the summer transfer window, stated: “What happens with him going forward, I think it’s not totally solidified one way or the other quite yet.”
Drameh’s 2022/23 Campaign
As mentioned, the full-back has struggled to make an impact at Leeds United, highlighted by the fact that, despite the club eventually deciding against another loan move, Drameh has made just one senior appearance for Leeds this season.
However, that is not necessarily due to a lack of ability, but rather an impressive amount of squad depth from the Whites. Luke Ayling and Stuart Dallas can both be deployed at right-back and appear to be ahead of the young Englishman in Marsch’s pecking order.

Drameh, then, is relatively unexposed to the highest level of English football, but he certainly has a lot of potential and would be an astute signing for whichever club lands his signature.
