Milan Not Ready to Cave Into Leao’s Demands
The Italian side has been discussing the possibility of a new deal with Leao for some time now, but the two parties are finding it difficult to finalise an agreement. Sky Sports adds that the winger, who won the Best Serie A Player of the Season award last time around, is demanding massive wages of around £8-9 million to agree on a new deal with the reigning Serie A champions, something which Milan are not going to pay.

The Rossoneri has never paid that high a salary to any player in their history and do not want to break their wage limit by doing so. It’s also added that if the Italian giants are still yet to pay £16.5 million in transfer fees to Sporting Lisbon (the forward’s former club) and this has caused Leao to demand such high wages.
The Portuguese star has also changed his agents recently, which is further complicating matters and making it even more difficult for Milan to get him to sign a new contract.
Chelsea Keen on Signing Leao
Ever since he helped the Rossoneri win the Serie A title last season, the 23-year-old winger has attracted a lot of attention from some of Europe’s best. Chelsea have found an interest in signing him but might have to pay over £100 million for his services.

The Blues have struggled with goals this season, having scored just 17 goals in 13 Premier League games so far. They want to sign Leao to help solve their attacking problems and add more excitement to their frontline. The Portuguese star has been dubbed as an ‘incredible player‘ by Chelsea forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who appears to be keen to play with him. Leao has had an impressive start to the season, having scored six goals and providing nine assists across all competitions for Milan.
