A lot was said before yesterday’s game but the commitment of the squad has never faltered and yesterday was the reward for weeks of hard work.

Leeds United Current Run of Form
Leeds United’s form has been somewhat dire of late. In spite of some relatively strong performances against the better sides in the Premier League, the Whites only have one win in the last five, a last-minute victory against Liverpool at Anfield. The most recent win before that came against Chelsea in a 3-0 victory at home.
Jesse Marsch’s side has experience of performing well against sides that attack them and struggling with opponents that sit back and absorb pressure. Against a Bournemouth side that haven’t has a clean sheet since the very start of October, the Yorkshire side will hope for a bit more luck in front of goal.
Bournemouth Current Run of Form
After a horrendous start to the season, Bournemouth are somewhat improving. Four points in the last five matches do The Cherries something of a disservice, as they pushed Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur to the brink last weekend. Instead, they only have a win over Leicester City and a draw with Fulham from the past five outings.
The South Coast side line up in something of a pragmatic structure, looking to absorb pressure and hit opponents on the break with opportunities for Kieffer Moore and Dominic Solanke their best chances of scoring. Lewis Cook returns to his home city and will have a busy day in midfield.
Recent Head to Head
In the history of the two clubs, Bournemouth have only won a single match. This took place in the Championship in March 2014, with the most recent fixture between the two taking place in January 2015. There isn’t much to gain by looking at the head-to-head results between these sides, with promotions and relegations keeping the two away from one another for a good while.
Leeds United vs Bournemouth Prediction
Leeds United will be disappointed with anything but three points against Bournemouth. They invite the South Coast team into the wasps’ nest that is Elland Road, and with the energetic Brenden Aaronson looking to press Chris Mepham and Adam Smith, the American should have an easier time than he did against Virgil van Dijk.
One risk is that of Leeds’ finishing. If the front line doesn’t put away chances, a fractious Elland Road could turn on a dime against the Whites. Score early and this could be a great result for Leeds United, with a 3-0 home victory on the cards.
Current Odds: Leeds United vs Bournemouth
Leeds United are currently favourites to win at 13/17, with a draw coming in at the next most likely outcome of 3/1. The odds of a Bournemouth win are 4/1.
