Romano Praises ‘Underrated’ David
The 22-year-old Canadian striker has been in impressive form this season, having scored 9 goals and provided 2 assists in just 11 games so far this season. Romano seems to be a big fan of the forward and has dubbed him a “really underrated and potential great solution” to the Red Devils’ goal-scoring issues.

However, he also adds that there could be a lot of interest for him from clubs after the FIFA World Cup, where he will be participating as part of the Canada squad. Romano also adds that Cristiano Ronaldo can never be dubbed as a problem for the Red Devils – despite his exit links – as he is only a solution to their issues.
Jonathan David’s Career So Far Recapped
The Lille striker has been one of the fastest-rising forwards in Europe and has been quite consistent with his goal-scoring heroics over the last few years. He spent a few years at the Belgian club Genk from 2018-2020, where he impressed with his goalscoring exploits.
Since joining Lille in 2020, the 22-year-old has been among the most exciting strikers in Ligue 1. He’s already made 107 appearances for the French side, scoring 41 goals and providing 7 assists, taking his career goalscoring tally to 78 goals. The 22-year-old has also been Canada’s star on the international stage, having scored 20 goals in 30 appearances for them.

The Canadian striker has been praised by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry in the past, with the Frenchman complimenting his direct style and calling him a “pretty strong” player. If the 22-year-old can have a strong World Cup campaign, it wouldn’t be surprising if the likes of Manchester United showcase serious interest in his services.
