Chelsea target Ibrahim Sangare is expected to remain at current club PSV Eindhoven, reports Jonathan Shrager.
The Blues have been in the market for a defensive midfielder this deadline day but have closed a move for a different target.
Chelsea Target Ibrahim Sangare to Remain at PSV Eindhoven
Whilst they have recently expressed interest, I am told that Chelsea have so far not made an offer to PSV for Ibrahim Sangaré, and so the player is expected to stay at Eindhoven, as it stands right now

PSV Hoping to Hold On
Shrager said: “Whilst they have recently expressed interest, I am told that Chelsea have so far not made an offer to PSV for Ibrahim Sangare,” so any deal being done there would be at the 11th hour.
Sangare isn’t the only PSV man who has potential suitors. Rik Elfrink adds that, with both Sangare and Gakpo both close to exits, the Dutch giants would prefer to sell the latter.
The Dutch side will be hoping to hang on to the pair but they aren’t strangers to moving on their biggest stars. In recent seasons, the likes of Hirving Lozano, Donyell Malen and Mario Gotze have departed after performing well in Eindhoven.

News on Other Chelsea Interest
Thomas Tuchel is keen to add a long-term replacement for either Jorginho or N’Golo Kante.
Both players see their contracts at Stamford Bridge come to an end next year, so the links to Sangare and other defensive midfielders make plenty of sense.

As well as bringing in midfield reinforcements, the Blues are looking to add depth at the back too.
They have already signed Wesley Fofana and Kalidou Koulibaly and have shown interest in both Josko Gvardiol and Edson Alvarez throughout the transfer window.
