According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur want to begin discussing a possible contract extension for their talisman striker, Harry Kane.

Current Deal Expires in 2024
Harry Kane’s current contract expires in 2024, which means that if Kane has not signed a new deal by this time next year, the North London club may have to sell their most prized asset in order to avoid losing him for free at the end of the 2023/24 season.
This would be a disaster for the club, and could inevitably affect the amount of success they could expect to achieve under Antonio Conte.

What Did Antonio Conte Have to Say?
Speaking ahead of their match against, West Ham, he said: “I have to be honest, I don’t know about the situation. I don’t know the details.”
However, he did admit that: “The desire of everybody into the club is for Kane to continue to stay with Tottenham, to sign a new contract.”
And who can blame them? Harry Kane has been one of, if not their most, important players over recent years, and he has hit the ground running again this season.
He has registered four goals in as many games, with his recent brace against Nottingham Forest taking him to 187 Premier League goals in just 286 appearances in the competition.
Without question, if Tottenham hope to achieve success under Conte and win some silverware, then keeping hold of Harry Kane is vital.

Manchester City Transfer Saga
Kane’s proposed move to Manchester City last summer was one of the most talked about transfers of the window.
After years of loyal service to the club, Kane felt as though it was time to move on and face a new challenge. Manchester City was seemingly his desired destination.
City wanted him, Kane wanted to go and Daniel Levy had reportedly promised to grant Kane his wish of a summer exit to the Premier League champions – everything was in place and ready to go.
However, Tottenham priced the then 28-year-old out of a move, setting an asking price north of £100 million. This is ultimately when the move fell through as Manchester City refused to pay over the odds for the striker.
Harry Kane’s relationship became strained with the club and under Nuno Espirito Santo, his performances took a hit at the start of the 2021/22 season.
But, in his defence, this could be said for the vast majority of the squad during this period, and therefore, may have not been related to his transfer saga at all.
Especially given the fact that he has performed excellently under Antonio Conte; suggesting that the collapse of his move did not affect his professionalism in any way.
