What Did Romano Say?

In his video, Romano had plenty of information on this ongoing transfer saga to share with fans.

“Manchester United are now focused on a new winger.

“For Antony, I’m told that the player wants to go. The player wants a Manchester United move. He’s really pushing for this move. This is why he was not training with the team on Friday, but just at the training ground in the gym.

“Antony told Ajax with his agents that he wants the Manchester United proposal to be discussed; Ajax said “no” to an €80 million (£68 million) bid. Antony is pushing for the two clubs to discuss.

“Manchester United, what are they doing? They are still there, they will try for Antony in case Ajax will change their position, but at the same time they are keeping contacts with the agents of Cody Gakpo – he’s a cheaper option.”

“So, Gakpo and Antony are two separated deals that Manchester United are discussing, because they want to get ready for next week, when there will be crazy things happening on the market.”

As Antony has shown throughout his short career so far, he is a fantastic player. Nothing displays this better than his record in the Eredivisie already this season, with one goal and two assists in just two games, and some magical performances to accompany these impressive statistics.
