Mexican International to Bolster the Red Devils
Manchester United have endured a nightmare start to their Premier League campaign, and losing to Brentford left them bottom of the league. Following this defeat Erik ten Hag reiterated his desire for new signings when he told Sky Sports: “I think we need new players. We need quality players and we are working on that. We will do everything we can to bring them in.”
Lozano attracted interest from the Red Devils previously back in 2018 while at PSV Eindhoven, the Mexican international then spoke of his childhood affection for red half of Manchester.
“I liked Manchester United a lot [as a child]. In Spain my favourite team is Barcelona.
“It’s nice English papers talk nicely about me. It’s special. Personally, I say thanks for the nice words. I always try to improve and give something extra. I will keep on improving.”
What Lozano Will Bring to Old Trafford
The Mexican winger turned heads during his time in the Eredivisie for PSV Eindhoven, scoring 40 goals in 79 games while providing 23 assists for his teammates. Lozano then moved to Napoli for £38 million, where he has a record of 40 direct goal involvements in 115 appearances.

Despite often cutting in from the left onto his favoured right foot and unleashing a shoot or pass, he is capable of attacking a full back and delivering dangerous crosses on his left foot too. Lozano would bring a high work rate to Old Trafford, which has been severely lacking in the opening two games. He has shown his fiery side throughout his career, but if controlled his hard-working nature and desire could be a great asset for a Manchester United team seemingly devoid of creativity and passion.
