Key Details of Casemiro Signing
The Red Devils were swift in the negotiations process for the Brazilian midfielder and convinced him to join them by offering him a very lucrative offer. Casemiro will reportedly be among the highest-paid players at Old Trafford and earn around £350,000 per week. He has signed a four-year contract until 2026 with an option to extend it to 2027.
United are also going to pay Los Blancos a sizeable fee of around £50.7 million alongside £8.5 million in performance-related add-ons. Casemiro will become the fourth most expensive departure in the history of Real Madrid, only behind Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus (for £105 million), Angel di Maria to Old Trafford (£67.5 million) and Alvaro Morata to Chelsea (£59.4 million).
United’s Summer Transfer Business So Far
The Red Devils have seemingly left the best for last when it comes to their summer transfer business. Their first signing was that of left-back Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord – with the Dutchman set to provide competition to Luke Shaw in that spot this season. They also roped in Christian Eriksen on a free transfer in a really economic signing, before bolstering their backline with Lisandro Martinez from Ajax.

But Casemiro’s arrival will mark an extremely important step in forming a strong squad for Erik ten Hag. The Brazilian is regarded as one of the best midfielders around in world football and earned a reputation for being an aggressive, impenetrable defensive midfielder as well.
The 30-year-old has won it all and has an elite mentality because of that. He was able to win five Champions League titles with Real Madrid, as well as three La Liga trophies and a couple of FIFA Club World Cups too. With over 450 domestic appearances under his belt, the highly experienced midfielder should add a lot of qualities to Ten Hag’s side and help improve their defensive record this season.
