Wolves’ Star Is on the Move
After hitting dizzy heights in the Championship last season, the name Morgan Gibbs-White has been on everyone’s lips this summer. Bruno Lage and co were intent on keeping him but it seems a bid that is too good to be true has broken their resolve. A “deal worth £44.5 million, including add-ons” is mouth-watering and Nottingham Forest truly mean business.
The Wolves star was at the fore for Sheffield United on loan last year even in the face of great adversity. From Billy Sharp to Rhian Brewster, several forwards suffered injuries all around him. Gibbs-White and Iliman Ndiaye were the two left to prop up Paul Heckingbottom’s forward line, and they did exactly that.
Since returning to Molineux, he has played the full 90 minutes in both matches. It was first a loss against Leeds United at Elland Road and then a goalless draw with Fulham.
The “22-year-old England youth midfielder” had a lot of suitors this summer but a suitable bid for his services seemed out of the question. That was until Steve Cooper’s side came in with this huge offer today.

An Unforgettable Window for Nottingham Forest
Just when one assumes that Nottingham Forest’s transfer dealings are done for this window, another name seeps into the limelight. Taiwo Awoniyi was a big deal as their new striker for example, and then Emmanuel Dennis was brought in and Neal Maupay could yet follow. The Wolves star doesn’t fit into that exact position but along with the likes of Jesse Lingard and Brennan Johnson, they can provide some resolute playmaking ability.

Steve Cooper worked wonders at the City Ground last term but their glorious promotion has been somewhat overshadowed by this ridiculous amount of business. Gibbs-White will make it 16 signings and a deal for Brighton forward Maupay is still in the pipeline too. The fee for the former is a huge one but is needed if they are to acquire his services.
