Adrien Rabiot Edges Closer to Manchester United Transfer
Manchester United have patiently pursued Frenkie de Jong all summer, who appeared to be their priority signing. However, due to the club’s terrible start to the season and with no resolution to sign the Dutchman in sight, the Red half of Manchester have seemingly turned the majority of their attention to signing Juventus midfielder Rabiot.
As reported by The Telegraph, Manchester United’s pursuit of the 27-year-old intensified following the refusal of the player’s agent to speak to intermediaries, which led to football director John Murtough flying to Italy to expedite the deal.

Erik ten Hag has reportedly spoken to the 27-year-old over bringing him to Old Trafford. But with the midfielder demanding an £8.4 million annual salary, any potential deal is proving to be complicated.
Midfield Reinforcements Needed
Following significant midfield departures this summer such as Paul Pogba and Juan Mata, Manchester United have been left with few midfield options. The club have now lost their opening two matches this season, and as such, it has become apparent they need new signings in a number of areas.
After the 4‐0 defeat away to Brentford, Ten Hag reiterated his desire for new signings when he told Sky Sports: “I think we need new players. We need quality players and we are working on that. We will do everything we can to bring them in.”
Rabiot was an important part of the Juventus squad last season, making 45 appearances in all competitions, showcasing his excellent ball recycling capacity which would make him a seemingly ideal fit for Manchester United.
