Bryan Gil is wanted by two La Liga clubs in Valencia and Real Sociedad, according to the latest from Fabrizio Romano.
Tottenham Hotspur have brought a number of players in during this transfer window and now need to clear down the squad. Gil has already been sent out on loan to Valencia in the last January transfer window.
But the player’s contract at Tottenham does not expire until June 2026.
Bryan Gil Draws Interest From Valencia and Real Sociedad
Time for Tottenham To Trim Squad
Gil, who has been described as “very talented” by former Arsenal star Kevin Campbell, has not yet made a strong enough impression to break through into the first team. He has shown glimpses of his talent but would struggle to get into Spurs’ packed forward line.
Valencia have asked for both Nico and Bryan Gil. Talks will continue in the next hours with Barcelona and then Tottenham in order to reach an agreement and improve Gattuso’s team. ⚪️🦇 #Valencia

It is not clear whether Gil would be leaving the club permanently or on loan. Since the player is tied to a long term contract it means that either the club are keen to keep the player or that they expect to fetch a higher fee if Valencia, Real Sociedad or any other suitors want to take him away.
The 21-year-old has made just 20 senior appearances for Spurs and is yet to score for the club. He has managed one assist in 756 minutes of competitive football. These numbers are less relevant for a player who Tottenham have kept mainly at the fringes; despite his nine Premier League appearances for the club, he only has 86 minutes of action to his name.
Loan or Sell?
A loan deal would be a prudent choice if Gil is a player that could feature in Antonio Conte’s future plans. Gil did travel with the squad to South Korea in pre-season. He played particularly well in the game against the stars of the K-League. But perhaps he is still not quite at the physical level demanded by previous managers, where he was told to get fitter and stronger.

After all, Gil only arrived at Hotspur Way last summer. Since then Spurs have changed manager and with the club signing the likes of Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison, Gil’s role this season may only be as a rotation player at best.
