Tottenham Hotspur are continuing to pursue a potential deal for AS Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo, with the player still heavily impressing José Mourinho in pre-season.
Negotiations between both clubs are ongoing with a possible meeting scheduled this week to discuss proceedings according to Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari.
A reported £30 million bid has already been rejected by the Italian giants with Roma only considering £41.8 million for Zaniolo. Given his contract expires in 2024, a substantial offer could see him playing in England.
However, the Italian giants would be open to a player-plus-cash deal with Tanguy Ndombele, Japhet Tanganga and Giovani Lo Celso rumoured to be part of the discussion.

Fabio Paratici Is a Keen Admirer of the Italian International
During his tenure at Juventus, Fabio Paratici was eager to sign the Italian star for his former club but was unsuccessful in his attempt.
He, alongside others, has been trying to pen down a deal for around a month now since the sporting director travelled to the capital city of Milan.
According to the Gazzetta, it is not only Paratici that wants the 23-year-old to join the white side of North London, but also the players. During a recent friendly between the two clubs in Israel, the players told Zaniolo to join Spurs – a game in which Tottenham won 1-0.

Tottenham Hotspur Looking to Continue Their Great Business This Summer Transfer Window
It is vital for their summer transfers to be clever but also to lead this team to success. All top Premier League sides have bolstered their recruitment and incomings these last few months and Tottenham Hotspur are following suit.
Fabio Paratici has been a very busy man this summer which has seen Tottenham sign the likes of Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma and Richarlison.
Besides their reinforcements, they are still looking at Zaniolo as their ideal attacking target before the end of the transfer window. The signing of the talented winger would round off a brilliant window ahead of the 22/23 season.
