Chelsea Confirm Deal for Carney Chukwuemeka
An Exciting Talent
Potential is the first word that comes to mind thinking of Chukwuemeka. The 18-year-old already has all the physical tools needed to succeed at the highest level, but now he just needs to earn the time on the pitch to develop.
Chukwuemeka appeared in 12 Premier League matches for Aston Villa last season. He saw less than 300 minutes on the pitch in total, and registered one assist during that time. Although he holds plenty of experience in youth divisions, Chukwuemeka has yet to make his mark at the senior level.

Of course, that’s to be expected for such a young player. Moving to Chelsea should only further his developmental process. Chelsea’s midfield, of course, is already quite crowded, featuring stars such as N’Golo Kante, Jorginho, and more. It would be unfair to assume that Chukwuemeka should immeditaly find a place in the squad, so it remains to be seen what the player’s future holds.
