According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, there are very specific details required if Barcelona are to sign Raphinha from Leeds United. The Premier League side will accept no less than €55 million for their star man, and Romano also claims that it cannot be payable over multiple instalments or across multiple years. This could be a problem for the Spanish giants as they are struggling for cash and have to offload some players in order to register others. This is already getting in the way of their bid to sign Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich, and it will likely be just as much of a problem as they pursue a move to sign Raphinha from Leeds United.
What Barcelona Have to Do to Sign Raphinha From Leeds United
Barcelona’s Summer Could Be Very Active
In an attempt to comply with financial fair play regulations, Barcelona have to be very savvy in the transfer market.
Last summer, club legend and one of the greatest players ever to grace the planet Lionel Messi departed after his contract expired. The Catalonian side were simply not able to renew his deal within the confines of La Liga and UEFA’s financial rules. As such, he joined Paris Saint-Germain, and Barcelona have been on a quest to replace him ever since, just as fellow Spanish side Real Madrid have been with Cristiano Ronaldo.
While it’s virtually impossible to live up to the standard that Messi set, a move for Raphinha could bring out the best in the Leeds man, although the specifics of the transfer may become a major stumbling block.

This summer there is also going to be a fair amount of activity at the Camp Nou. While he doesn’t want to leave, Frenkie de Jong may be sold in order to balance the books, with Manchester United prioritising a move for the Dutchman and Erik ten Hag keen to link up with his compatriot once again.
