Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta recently praised Juventus forward Paulo Dybala, further sparking rumours about the Milan giant’s interest in the player. Dybala is set to leave Juventus this summer, although his agent recently came out and said no agreement has been made with any club yet.

A Strong Fit

“Paulo Dybala’s a great player and he’s now available for free,” Marotta said to Sky Sports in quotes reported by Fabrizio Romano. “We have many strikers but for sure I appreciate his skills.”

There’s no question that Dybala holds some of the most talent in Serie A. He’s struggling this season but remains a great option for any team.

Inter’s current wing depth includes the likes of Ivan Perisic, Alexis Sanchez, and Joaquin Correa. Perisic, in fact, is in talks to extend his contract.

“We’re optimistic to extend Ivan Perisic’s contract, he wants to stay and feeling is mutual – we’re on it,” Marotta added.

Correa is a lock to stay at the club as he just arrived last summer. Perisic is 33-years-old, although Inter made it clear they want to hang onto him. Sanchez is also 33-years-old but contributes the least out of the bunch.

Inter’s current attacking star is Lautaro Martinez, who has all intentions of staying at the club. Like Dybala, Martinez is Argentinean. If they were to play together, Martinez and Dybala would form arguably the most lethal attacking duo in all of Serie A.

At the moment, Inter is in a fierce battle for the Serie A crown with city rivals AC Milan. Inter are currently the reigning champions, but if they were to lose that title Dybala would provide a major boost to taking it back next season.

Juventus are currently working on a replacement for the attacking star.
