Liverpool are also just one point behind Manchester City in the Premier League and will push until the final day to regain the title. The EFL Cup has already been won in a dramatic final against Chelsea. The same opponent awaits Liverpool in the final of the FA Cup.
No matter what happens in the next month, this is the first year in which Liverpool are successfully competing in all four competitions. This huge success, combined with the beautiful football that Liverpool play, is highly appreciated by the board. They will therefore hope to tie up the manager with a long-term deal. Klopp has proven to be the right man for Liverpool and it doesn’t come as a surprise that the club wants him to stay for many more seasons.
