James Ducker of the Daily Telegraph has reported that Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has still not and is not likely to attend training any time soon as the hip problem that kept him out of the Manchester derby persists.
Hip Problem Still Causing Pain as Manchester United Star Set to Miss Training
Update on Ronaldo: not expected to train with main group today either. At Carrington also yesterday but didn't train then. Apparently hip flexor problem been causing him pain for past couple of months. Missed the two Villa games in Jan because of it #mufc https://t.co/0933ffRjXu

Hip Flexor Problem
Ronaldo is not expected to join in with training at United’s Carrington training complex on March 9 following on from his absence on Friday, March 4.
Manager Ralf Rangnick said the issue is the same as the one that kept him out of the Manchester derby defeat. The main squad were not at training on Monday following the 4-1 loss but non-playing players were, apart from Ronaldo. He did arrive for Tuesday’s session but it was decided by the medical team that he should train away from the main group as they try to ensure his fitness for a crucial top-four tie against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, March 12.
Ongoing Issue
The hip problem is said to have been causing Ronaldo a problem for some time and he missed both games against Aston Villa in January with the issue. Now seems that it needs to be carefully managed ahead of a crucial run-in for the Red Devils.
Little Margin for Error
Rangnick recently stated that his team are left with little margin for error if they want to finish in the top four and gain Champions League football for the 2022/23 season. Arsenal are currently the in-form team and sit in fourth place with United one point behind, but the Gunners have three games in hand giving them the advantage at this stage.
Saturday’s opponent Spurs can go above United by a point with a victory at Old Trafford and also have a game in hand so United cannot afford any more slips up.
