Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard could be “tempted by [a] big offer” from Newcastle United, according to reports.
What Newcastle Need to Offer to Capture Jesse Lingard Transfer This Month
Manchester United Winger Set For January Transfer Exit
A permanent transfer move to Newcastle United remains “possible” for Jesse Lingard this month, according to Sky Sports presenter Pete Graves.
Lingard, 29, has been linked with moves to Tyneside as well as Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the January transfer deadline ahead of his contract expiring this summer.
The winger’s current terms at Old Trafford run out in six months’ time so he can currently negotiate pre-contract agreements with foreign clubs.
According to Graves, however, United would consider selling Lingard to Newcastle United if it was the “right price”.
Sharing the news on Twitter, the Sky Sports journalist said: “#nufc latest: LINGARD – permanent deal possible. Player could be tempted by big offer, ManU would sell at right price this month.
“CARLOS – remains key target, clubs “closer” to agreement. NUNEZ/ZAPATA potential striker targets (enquiries made). LEFT BACK also being chased.”

Lingard has no intention to renew his Manchester United contract and so the Red Devils are desperate to cash in on the forward before a potential free transfer exit this summer.
A report from Sky Sports this afternoon says Tottenham may be disadvantaged in their pursuit of Lingard, however, with the North London club currently a top-four rival for United.
The winger spent last season on loan at West Ham United and returned to Old Trafford under the impression that he would feature more often for the Red Devils under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
During his time in the Capital, Lingard scored nine times in 16 appearances for West Ham.
But the 29-year-old managed just one start under the Norwegian before he was sacked in November; his fortunes under current interim boss Ralf Rangnick have also failed to improve with only one starting spot since he replaced Solskjaer.
