Gareth Southgate has made his 23-man England Internationals squad announcement for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifiers v Andorra and Hungary. Following an end to the side’s 100% record after the 1-1 draw with Poland September, Southgate will be looking to seal qualification as soon as possible ahead of the 2022 winter World Cup in Qatar.

Jude Bellingham Misses Out
Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins has been called up to the England squad as back-up to Harry Kane whilst Fikayo Tomori has also earned a call-up following his positive start to the season in Serie A with AC Milan.
A surprise omission is that of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham who has impressed at international level and it is especially surprising given Mason Mount and Reece James‘ inclusion despite both suffering from injuries recently.
Ramsdale Form for Arsenal Earns Call Up
Aaron Ramsdale has been unlucky to end up featuring for sides relegated in consecutive seasons from the Premier League but his performances for his new club Arsenal have caught the eye and earned him a call up to the national side for the qualifiers against Andorra and Hungary.
Harry Kane
England will be hoping that captain and talisman Harry Kane can put his club troubles behind him and fire them to success in the two matches in October. Kane has struggled at Tottenham Hotspur following his failed transfer to Manchester City in the summer and these games may well be a welcome distraction for the striker.

Other than the three additions to the squad, Southgate is mainly sticking with the squad that has served him so well in the last World Cup and European Championships as he looks to secure qualification for Qatar 2022 which will be the first tournament to be played during the winter due to the humidity and heat in the country.
