Inter Milan have reportedly rejected proposals from Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur and La Liga champions Atletico Madrid for Argentina striker Lautaro Martinez.
According to Fabrizio Romano, both clubs were in contact with Inter Milan earlier in the summer transfer market, and tabled bids of around €90 million for the 23-year-old. Last season’s Serie A winners rejected the offers, and have no intention of selling the forward.

Serie A Club Want to Offer the Striker a New Deal
Irrespective of whether they are able to keep Harry Kane, Tottenham have been on the lookout for a new striker in this summer’s transfer window.
The north London club expect the England captain to stay despite persistant interest from Manchester City, and have brought in left-winger Bryan Gil from Sevilla – in a player-plus-cash deal involving Erik Lamela – as their main attacking transfer of the window so far.
However, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will almost certainly have to look elsewhere in their pursuit of another striker, with Inter looking to reject any interest in Lautaro Martinez and tie the player down to a new contract.
Martinez’s agent is due to meet with the Inter heirarchy in due course, in order to open talks over a new and improved deal for his client.
For their part, the Serie A giants are aware of supporter unrest following the departure of Romelu Lukaku to European champions Chelsea, and are determined not to lose Martinez for any price.
Atletico Madrid Also Looking for New Striker
Much like Tottenham, La Liga winners Atletico Madrid are also looking to bring in a new striker before the closure of the summer transfer window.
Diego Simeone’s men edged their city rivals Real Madrid to the Spanish domestic title largely thanks to their superior defensive record last season. Both teams scored the same amount of goals, but Atletico conceded only 25 across their 38 league games, fewer than any other side in the division as they won the league by two points.
Along with their customarily solid defensive record, Simeone is looking for another goalscorer to do the business at the other end of the pitch in order to help Atletico defend their title.
