Following links to both players, Sheffield United boss Slavisa Jokanovic has confirmed his interest in Liverpool defender Ben Davies and Sampdoria midfielder Ronaldo Vieira. The Sheffield United transfer news looks set to ramp up as we enter the new Championship season.
The Blades are clearly eager to bounce straight back up to the top flight, but will know the difficulties surrounding a task of that nature. Securing reinforcements would be a vital step in the right direction, as new boss Slavisa Jovanovic forms a side suited to his style.

Ben Davies Needs Move
The news that will excite Sheffield United fans the most is the Ben Davies links. The former Preston North End centre-back is yet to feature in a competitive game for Liverpool having made what now seems a pointless move to Anfield back in January. Desperate for game time, the defender may just make the switch.
Looking back, Davies will regret the move to Liverpool more and more. Pitched as a dream move and the chance to become, at the very least, a short-term Reds hero, Davies has been given the opportunity to do anything but in a Liverpool shirt. Instead, Jurgen Klopp opted to use the likes of Fabinho, Ozan Kabak, Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams to cover the defensive injury crisis last season.
He needs a lifeline, and Liverpool need to forget a deal ever happened. The Reds would reportedly prefer a permanent switch, but will likely have to settle for loan move, according to David Lynch.
Jokanovic Confirms Interest in Duo
Also recently linked with a move to Bramall Lane is Sampdoria midfielder Ronaldo Vieira. Perhaps the player with the best combination of names of all time, Sheffield United will hope he is of similar calibre to his Father, Patrick Vieira, and his namesake, Ronaldo, should they make a move.
The 23-year-old made just five appearances in Italy last season, and will be desperate for more game time. Having had previous experience in the Championship with Leeds United, too, Vieira would add the needed know how to the Sheffield United side.
Jokanovic confirmed the interest in both Vieira and Davies, saying: “I am interested in both players. Yes, I am interested in both.”
