Bayern Munich Looking to Sell Corentin Tolisso

Corentin Tolisso

Bayern Munich are reportedly looking to sell France midfielder Corentin Tolisso this summer. The Bundesliga champions are looking to secure a fee of around £17 million for the 26-year-old, according to L’Equipe.

L’Équipe are reporting that Tolisso is attracting plenty of interest from Italy, with Serie A giants Juventus and Napoli both linked with moves for the player.

Bundesliga Side Keen to Cash in

From the outset, it appears Bayern are attempting to avoid losing a valuable player for nothing with Tolisso’s contract set to expire next year.

However, it remains to be seen whether any of the interested parties will make their move in the current transfer market in the knowledge that they could sign the player for free if they wait a further 12 months.

Returning Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri might encourage his club to act now in order to fend off any competition for the talented midfielder. Given the issues in the middle of the park that proved a problem for each of his predecessors, Andrea Pirlo and Maurizio Sarri, a midfielder may be a top target this summer.

Brazilian midfielder Arthur will miss the start of next season with injury, while the likes of Aaron Ramsey have failed to make much of an impact behind star striker Cristiano Ronaldo.

Tolisso Fresh After Injury Struggles

Whether he stays in Munich or finds a new club ahead of the upcoming season, Tolisso will be keen to make a sustained impact after an injury-hit 2020/21 season.

The France international was in-and-out of the Bayern Munich team throughout the season as he struggled with muscular injury and a torn tendon, restricting him to just 24 appearances in all competitions.

He did, however, return to full fitness ahead of Euro 2020, making three appearances before Didier Deschamps’ side were knocked out by Switzerland in the last-16.
