Football Transfer News: Max Power, Franco Ravizzoli, Callum Jones and More

Max Power Re-Joins Wigan From Sunderland

Max Power is back at Wigan Athletic once again following his move from Sunderland. The midfielder has signed a two-year deal back at his former club, who are putting together a side capable of pushing for the play-off spots with some of their additions so far.

Power is glad to be back, telling the clubs official website: “Coming back here has brought back some great memories, and I’m just delighted that the deal is done. I’ve always kept an eye on the club, and I always felt that I would return so to be back here is a great feeling.”

Argentine Keeper Joins MK Dons

Twenty-three-year-old goalkeeper Franco Ravizzoli has joined MK Dons after impressing while training with the club at the end of last season. The Argentine, who came through the academy at River Plate, made 33 appearances for non-league side Eastbourne Borough in the 2020/21 season.

Dons sporting director Liam Sweeting was impressed with how the young keeper has shown determination to make it in English football: “He proved himself while training with our first team at the end of last season and we’re both delighted and thankful to Eastbourne Borough that an agreement could be reached.”

Loan Move for Callum Jones

Callum Jones has left Hull City who were promoted back to the Championship at the end of the 2020/21 campaign to join Morecambe on a season-long loan. Jones made just seven appearances for Hull and only one came in the successful League One campaign.

New Shrimps manager Stephen Robinson said: “Callum’s a young up and coming player with a really good future in the game.

“I spoke to Grant McCann, who couldn’t have spoken any higher of him.

“Callum will give us good versatility, he can play holding midfield, he can play as an eight, he has good legs and he’s a player beyond his years.

“He’s got an old head on young shoulders so we’re looking forward to working with Callum and his energy, we have high hopes for him.”
