Tyrese Omotoye Joins Swindon Town on Loan

Swindon Town’s busy transfer window continues with the signing of Norwich City youngster Tyrese Omotoye.

The 18-year-old striker arrives on loan for the remainder of the season and becomes John Sheridan’s fifth signing.

Omotoye arrives look to enhance his football education and get some first-team football.

Omotoye Has Played Three Times for the Norwich City First Team

A product of the Norwich academy, Omotoye has already broken into the first team. He has made three Championship appearances this season, helping the Canaries soar to the top of the table.

However, Daniel Farke has decided to loan out the young striker. He will join Swindon hoping to get some much needed game time and help the Robins avoid an instant return to League Two.

Omotoye is a young Belgian striker who is highly thought off in the Norwich academy. He will link up with fellow academy graduate Dialling Jaiyesimi, who joined Swindon in the summer.

The young Belgian has made an excellent impression in the Papa John’s trophy. He scored four times in three group games for Norwich City’s U21s. The striker has been a consistent performer for the U23s scoring seven times in 12 matches this season in the Premier League 2.

Swindon Looking to Avoid the Drop

He will be joining a Swindon side desperate to ignite their season. John Sheridan’s side sit in the relegation zone, a point off safety. Its tightly packed at the bottom of League One and John Sheridan’s side need to find some form.

Omotoye’s arrival will add some much needed firepower to the Swindon attack. The Robins boast the best attack out of the teams in League One’s bottom six. Omotoye could give them the edge going forward.

He could make his debut in Swindon’s home clash with Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday evening.
