Teden Mengi Among Young Players Manchester United Considering Sending Out on Loan

Manchester United are continuing discussions over potentially loaning out some of their Under 23 squad according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein. Teden Mengi, Ethan Galbraith and Dylan Levitt are three of the youngsters United are discussing.

All three are regulars in Neil Wood’s Under 23s squad. United would like all three to get some first-team football under their belt and gain some valuable experience.

According to Ornstein, there is Championship interest in all three players. Enquiries have been made and it’s a case of United giving the green light for the players to move during the final week of the transfer window.

Ethan Galbraith and Dylan Levitt Also Discussed

Talented defender Teden Mengi is highly thought off at Old Trafford. He has been called up to first-team training by Ole Gunnar Solksjaer and has been an unused substitute.

Solksjaer has been impressed with what Mengi has offered. He certainly needs game time at a higher level to enhance his football education. Mengi is a talented defender who can play a centre back or left-back. He is raw so certainly, a loan move to EFL will definitely help him.

Midfielder Ethan Galbraith has been a regular in the  U23s for several seasons. However, he is yet to get some football experience outside academy football. He is a talented central midfielder who is an excellent passer and has a real eye for goal. He has two goals in nine games for the U23s this season.

Dylan Levitt is another youngster highly thought off at Old Trafford. He has tasted some EFL experience after spending the first half of the season at Charlton Athletic in League One. However, he made just five appearances for Lee Bowyer’s side and United opted to recall him at the start of the month.

All three are attracting interest from Championship sides. With teams waiting in the wings, United will continue to discuss their immediate futures. Loan moves would certainly benefit each player but it’s a case of United ensuring the needs of the players are met.

Finding the right team and ensuring they get consistent game time to help the youngsters develop is key.
