Mk Dons have confirmed the news that goalkeeper Andrew Fisher has extended his stay by putting pen to paper on a new contract.
The shot-stopper has been a key part to MK Dons’ season so far as they look to move up the table, away from the mediocracy of mid-table, and towards a promotion push.
Dons fans across the country will be delighted with the news having secured the 22-year-old on a permanent basis last summer.

Fisher Expresses Delight
After putting pen to paper on a new contract, Fisher expressed his delight, saying: “I’m delighted to sign this new contract. I jumped at the gun when it was brought up.
“I came here to kick-start my career and I couldn’t ask for a better coaching staff and team of players to do that with.
“The way we play suits me perfectly. I like the pressure and responsibility that is put on me in this team and I feel like it brings the best out of me.”
Goalkeeper Coach Dean Thornton said: “Fish is a top, top goalkeeper for this level and I think he certainly has room to grow even further.
“He took a big pay cut to come here from Blackburn Rovers and be a part of our team. He’s rewarded us with his performances and now it was our turn to reward him.
“He’s been fantastic within the goalkeeper union as well as for the whole team. His performances this season have shown us what he’s all about, particularly against Fleetwood Town, where he kept us in the game.
“He is here for the long haul and will be key to us moving forward and getting to where we want to get to as a Football Club.”
The aim from MK Dons’ point of view will now be to progress up the League One table.
