It appears that it is yet another transfer blow for the Gunners. Arsenal target Joan Jordan has quashed any present rumours linking him with a move to the Emirates during an interview with Estadio Deportivo.
Joan Jordan Plays Down Rumours Linking Him to Arsenal
The Midfielder Insists he is Comfortable at Sevilla
It is no surprise that Arsenal are looking to bolster their midfield. Their lack of creativity in the midfield has been one of the reasons for their lacklustre start.
But Joan Jordan, another player linked with Arsenal, has insisted that he is happy at Sevilla. The midfielder, who joined Los Nervionenses in 2019, has been a key figure since his move.
According to Football London (via Estadio Deportivo), Jordan said: “In the end, these are just things that come out, like the many things that were said, the rumours, when I was at Eibar.
“I have always been very clear about the present. The future does not feed me, it takes away from me and does not give me the energy I need. My mind is genuinely here in Sevilla.
“I am at a super ambitious club, and I have nothing more to say because I really am super comfortable here, like I was when I arrived here.
“Things can come out, but I tell you my mind today, and the people that know me can back me up it’s not that I’m avoiding the question.”
Bolstering the Midfield Tops Priority List for Arteta
Arsenal are reportedly in the market for midfielders. One of the major problems at the Emirates have been a lack of quality in the squad. The lack of creativity has been another major factor in Arsenal’s poor start to the season. The Gunners have already been linked with several names. Julian Brandt, Emiliano Buendia, and Isco are some of the names that are reportedly on Arteta’s radar.
The recent turnaround in fortunes has seen the Gunners climb to 11th in the table, six points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur. If they can keep up their run and add the right recruitments during this window, Arsenal can finish amongst the top four this season.
