Kane‘s goal saw him reach the double-century of goals in his 300th game for the club.
He has now hit double figures for both goals and assists this season, grabbing 12 and 10 respectively.
Kane’s form under Jose Mourinho has been particularly impressive. Since the Portuguese took over as manager, Kane has been directly involved in 33 goals in just 29 appearance for Spurs.
148 of Kane’s goals have come in the Premier League. His most prolific season in the competition came during the 2017/18 season, when he netted 30 times at a rate of 0.81 goals per game.
The previous season – 2016-17 – Kane won the Premier League’s Golden Boot award at the fastest goals-to-game ratio ever recorded of 0.97, with 29 goals in 30 games.
Kane reached 100 goals for Spurs in 169 games – for context, it took Arsenal‘s Thierry Henry 181 matches to reach the same figure.
It also means Kane’s second century of goals have come in just 131 games – a significantly quicker rate of goals per game.
Kane Aiming To Become All-Time Leading Goalscorer For Tottenham
Harry Kane scoring his 200th Spurs goal is undoubtedly impressive – what is even more encouraging for Tottenham fans is that, given his age, he will be able to hit even greater heights.
Kane is still only 27 years of age. That means he arguably has at least another two years of being in his prime.
He currently sits third on the all-time goalscorers list for Tottenham. Bobby Smith lies ahead of him with 208 goals.
The great Jimmy Greaves sits at the top of the pile, with 266 goals in 379 appearances.
Kane will no doubt have his sights set on reaching that figure during his Tottenham career.
