Swansea City defender Joe Rodon has completed a deadline day move to Tottenham Hotspur, signing until 2025, subject to international clearance.

The Transfer to Top Off a Good Window for Tottenham Hotspur

The signing of Rodon tops off the perfect transfer window from a Spurs point of view after already securing the return of Gareth Bale and the capture of left-back Sergio Reguilon. Jose Mourinho’s side will now look to kick on towards the top four and towards Champions League qualification. Following a 6-1 thrashing of Manchester United last time out, too, they’ll be keen to add the goals once more against West Ham United.

For the first time since the 2019 Champions League final, when fully fit, the Spurs squad looks more than capable of producing the goods necessary to hit the heights they have previously failed to reach. With a serial winner such as Jose Mourinho in the technical area, too, things look to be heading in the perfect direction in North London. Perhaps it won’t be long until silverware is won to match a solid transfer window.

Career So Far

Rodon came through the academy at Swansea, making his breakthrough in 2018. However, he was in and around the first-team before this. He was named on the bench for an FA Cup tie against Oxford United in 2016 and was on the bench for a Premier League game against Arsenal a year later.

The 22-year-old had a loan spell in League Two with Cheltenham Town in 2018, making 12 appearances in the second half of the season.

Overall, Rodon has now made over 50 appearances for the Swans.
