Harry Wilson

Liverpool winger Harry Wilson has officially completed a move to Cardiff City on a season-long loan. The Welshman spent last season on loan at Bournemouth, where he impressed in short bursts without ever really setting the world alight.

Move That Suits Both Parties

With a season of no game time imminent, Wilson desperately needed a move. He would have undoubtedly prefered a move to the Premier League, but, the Championship has so often provided him with the platform to perform in the past, and looks likely to provide it again.

As for Cardiff, they’ve got themselves a winger fit for Premier League football, let alone the Championship. Wilson could, in fact, turn out to be the difference-maker for the Welsh side in their bid for the playoffs.

Wilson Looking to Make Instant Impact

Now the move is complete, Wilson will be hoping to have similar fortunes to that of Rhian Brewster in Wales. He may even look to have an instant impact, too, as Cardiff square off against Preston North End in their latest bid to progress up the Championship table.

With just one game under his belt so far this season, however, Wilson may struggle to find the fitness needed to become the instant hero at the Welsh club. Instead, a place on the bench could be given to the Liverpool loanee, where he’ll be keen to watch on as his new teammates battle it out for victory.

What Was Said?

Speaking to the club website, Wilson said: “I’m looking forward to getting started here. We had a few clubs enquire about me but as soon as I heard Cardiff were interested it was a place I wanted to come.

“The Welsh connection was a massive part for me. When I come here, I feel at home. I think the team and facilities we have, everything is built for a Premier League team.

“I’m determined to come here and do my best to help the club get there.”
