Brentford midfielder Josh DaSilva has cemented his future in the Bees’ line-up, agreeing a new four-year deal with the club.
After spending 11 years at Arsenal, the young midfielder turned down a contract to seek more game time with Brentford. The move away from Arsenal is paying dividends for both the player and his new club, as Brentford finished third in the Championship 2019/2020 season.

What is Next for Josh DaSilva and Brentford?
Brentford are licking their wounds following a brutal play-off-final defeat last season. However, they will be looking to replicate the achievement with better success this time around. The signing of DaSilva will definitely boost their chances. If DaSilva helps Brentford to promotion to the Premier League, it will serve as an example to other young players that seeking game time can be better than waiting for your chance at a big team.
Meanwhile, Brentford are trying to stave off interest for their star man – Said Benrahma. However, holding onto Benrahma may prove difficult as pressure from Premier League clubs mounts.
