Everton forward Moise Kean is set to join Paris Saint-Germain on a season-long loan deal, according to Fabrizio Romano. The forward has struggled since arriving at Goodison Park in 2019 and looks set to be handed a much-needed lifeline by the French champions.
Kean to Complete Paris Saint-Germain Loan Move
Unexpected Move
Usually, when a player is struggling for form, a move to a lesser club transpires. On this occasion, however, Moise Kean is reportedly getting a move to last season’s Champions League finalists. The reported loan deal has seemingly come out of nowhere with PSG seeking reinforcements following a poor start to the Ligue 1 campaign.
The loan move could lead to a permanent end to Kean’s Everton nightmare if he impresses those in France. With the competition growing at Goodison Park, too, an eventual permanent exit could suit both parties.
Chance for Kean to Return to His Best
When at Juventus, Moise Kean was considered one of the best young forwards around. The move to Everton was meant to see the Italian receive the game-time needed to ensure the unlocking of his potential. A year later, however, and he has become nothing but an afterthought in Carlo Ancelotti’s plans.
The £30 million deal may not have worked out, but, now Kean has the chance to prove himself once more should he complete the loan move to PSG as reports suggest he will.
If PSG can get the best out of the Italian, they’ll have themselves the perfect backup to the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, two players Kean will so crucially learn from. Perhaps once the loan move reaches its end, we’ll see the forward finally become an Everton star.
For now, though, PSG and the chance for Kean to redirect his career away from the struggles of Merseyside and towards potential stardom in Ligue 1 beckons.
