Troost-Ekong for the Present and Touré for the Future
By completing deals for the duo, Watford have ensured stability for both the present and future. Troost-Ekong arrives ready to slot straight into the Hornets’ backline as they seek a promotion at the first attempt. Touré, on the other hand, joining in January, is a signing for the future.
The forward will arrive, learn, improve, and, ultimately prove to be a shroud piece of business by Watford. For now, though, he must wait for his opportunity, and Watford fans must wait for his arrival with great anticipation.
Watford Looking for Instant Premier League Return
After putting pen to paper, the hope will be playing Premier League football in the not so distant future. Troost-Ekong, previously of Udinese, will be desperate to reach the top flight to add to his extensive list of platforms reached as a player. The Nigerian has made previous appearances at World Cups and African Cup of Nations tournaments.
His experience could prove vital in Watford’s chase for a return to the Premier League. Following an unbeaten start to the Championship season, too, Watford are looking increasingly like making it a season to remember at Vicarage Road.
It may be early days, but Watford have looked strong under manager Vladimir Ivić who will be well aware of the often cutthroat nature when it comes to management staff at Vicarage Road.
